Mohammad Bayat

Researcher, Founder, Engineer, and Leadership Thinker

I build, study, and write about the systems that shape human performance: companies, technologies, markets, leadership, and the inner architecture of growth.

OkBayat.com is my public intellectual archive — a place where I organize what I am learning, building, researching, and questioning. It is not a conventional blog, a résumé page, or a personal marketing website. It is a long-term home for serious thinking.

My work sits at the intersection of entrepreneurship, software engineering, quantitative systems, leadership, coaching, and human development. I am interested in how people make better decisions, how founders build resilient organizations, how technology expands human capability, and how disciplined learning can transform both individuals and institutions.

I write for founders, executives, academics, builders, coaches, researchers, and serious learners — people who care about depth, responsibility, execution, and the long arc of personal and professional growth.

What I Explore

I use this website to think in public about subjects that continue to shape my life and work:

  • Leadership, responsibility, and human performance
  • Coaching, transformation, and personal development
  • Entrepreneurship, startups, and company-building
  • Decision-making, systems thinking, and leverage
  • Software, artificial intelligence, and quantitative systems
  • Books, papers, and ideas worth studying deeply

What I Am Building

A central part of my work is K2Quant — a company and research-driven environment focused on intelligent quantitative systems.

For me, building a company is not only an act of execution. It is also a laboratory for studying judgment, leadership, markets, technology, and human coordination under uncertainty.

That is why I treat projects, companies, experiments, and even failures as part of my research. They are evidence of thinking in action.

Why This Site Exists

I believe ideas become more powerful when they are written clearly, tested seriously, and shared generously.

This website exists to document that process.

Some writings will be essays. Some will be research notes. Some will become podcast episodes, courses, translations, or reflections on books and papers. The format may change, but the purpose remains the same: to clarify important ideas and make them useful for people who are building, leading, learning, and growing.

I am not trying to produce content for algorithms.

I am trying to build a durable body of work.

A Note That Guides My Work

“If not you, who? If not now, when? If not here, where?”
— Werner Erhard

For me, this is not a motivational quote. It is a standard of responsibility.

It points to the kind of life and work I am trying to build: courageous enough to take responsibility, rigorous enough to study deeply, and generous enough to make the work useful to others.
